The Craspedia
Also affectionately known as the Golf Ball Plant.
This unusual annual blooms in a perfectly symmetrical bright yellow ball of flowers. If you look closely you’ll notice that the ball is made up of many different blooms.
This plant is an excellent cut flower, dried flower, stand alone showcase in a container or even planted in the ground.
It’s not the most vigorous grower so be sure to not plant it with any plant bullies that may try to steal its thunder (or sunlight).
You can make this plant happy by planting it in full sun for the best blooming power and, of course, try not to over or under water this plant.
This plant always makes my employees get a good laugh in when they’re restocking flats of golf balls. While you’re carrying the flat, the blooms flop around and well they inevitably slap you in the face. Hard not to laugh when you’re getting beat up by a plant

We featured the “Golf Ball” on the Wednesday WTF post on social media on August 15.
